Although the government is working to overcome these crucial challenges, Haiti’s port fees are the highest in the Western Hemisphere. The country suffers capacity constraints and its transportation infrastructure is limited, with a national road network of 3,572 km in total length. Provision of electricity is sporadic and expensive.
